About The Position

Lap of Love is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian to provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in Columbus, Westerville, Dublin, Grove City, Hilliard, Powell, Delaware, Ohio, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian practices independently while receiving support from a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, including onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center.

Schedules are available for three, four, or five days per week. The role averages three to four unrushed appointments per day. Compensation depends on schedule: four-day positions start at $85,000, and five-day positions offer a $100,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time opportunities are also available with prorated compensation. The position includes a guaranteed base salary with no negative accrual.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Availability to work some weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Candidates are subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hiring and before their associated start date.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in clients’ homes.
• Conduct an average of three to four appointments per day.
