About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian in Dayton, Ohio, and surrounding areas. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, providing compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. Veterinarians practice independently while remaining connected to a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals, with onboarding, mentorship, experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. The posting describes flexible schedules and an average of three to four appointments per day, allowing time with families and less paperwork. Full-time opportunities are available on three-, four-, and five-day schedules; part-time opportunities are also available. Compensation varies by schedule: four-day positions start at $85,000, and five-day positions offer a $100,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time compensation is prorated based on schedule.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Subject to a post-hire background and motor vehicle record check before the associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate mobile hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Conduct an average of three to four appointments per day, allowing time to support families.
