Full-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking a full-time mobile veterinarian serving Columbia, South Carolina, including Lexington, Chapin, West Columbia, Elgin, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with flexible schedules, an average of 3–4 unhurried appointments per day, and support from a community of more than 400 veterinarians and support professionals. Comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and a 24/7/365 Support Center help veterinarians stay connected while practicing independently. Available schedules include 3-, 4-, and 5-day opportunities. Compensation varies by schedule: 4-day positions start at $85,000, and 5-day positions offer a $100,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time opportunities are also available, with prorated compensation based on schedule.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to background and motor vehicle record checks after hire and before their associated start date.
