Full-Time Mobile Veterinarian
About The Position
Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a mobile veterinarian serving Joliet, Illinois, including Kankakee, New Lenox, Bourbonnais, Plainfield, Frankfort, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families. The role offers an alternative to in-clinic practice, with independent mobile work supported by ongoing training, experienced mentors, practice managers, and a 24/7/365 Support Center. Schedules are available for three, four, or five days per week, with an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day. Compensation depends on schedule: four-day positions start at $75,000, and five-day positions offer a $90,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day full-time and part-time opportunities are also available with prorated compensation.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS).
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
- Availability to work some weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Candidates are subject to post-hire background and motor vehicle record checks before their associated start date.
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
- Practice independently as a mobile veterinarian while using available mentorship and organizational support.
