About The Position

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is hiring a full-time mobile veterinarian serving Akron, Canton, Cuyahoga Falls, Stow, Kent, Green, Ohio, and surrounding areas. The veterinarian provides compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families in their homes. The role offers flexible schedules of two to five days per week, with an average of three to four unhurried appointments per day. Veterinarians receive comprehensive onboarding, personalized mentorship, access to experienced leaders, and support from a 24/7/365 Support Center while practicing independently. Three-, four-, and five-day full-time opportunities are available, as well as three-day part-time opportunities. Compensation varies by schedule: four-day positions start at $85,000, and five-day positions offer a $100,000 base salary, with additional bonus opportunities. Three-day compensation is prorated based on schedule.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree.
Valid U.S. driver's license.
Availability to work some weekends.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
Subject to a background and motor vehicle record check after hire and before the associated start date.

Responsibilities

Provide hospice and euthanasia care for pets and their families.
Conduct mobile appointments in clients’ homes in the listed service area.
Work with families during end-of-life care, providing compassionate support.
