About The Position

Pape’ Kenworth is seeking a Mobile Truck Technician / Mechanic to join their team. This role involves working in the field at customer locations on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks, ensuring repairs are done accurately and timely to maximize customer uptime. The technician will be responsible for analyzing and diagnosing truck malfunctions or system failures, repairing or rebuilding various truck components, and maintaining and servicing trucks to ensure reliability and extend vehicle life. The position requires technical expertise, critical thinking under pressure, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver work that meets high standards of safety and quality.

Requirements

3 or more years of experience working on all makes and models of medium and heavy-duty class 7/8 trucks, including engine repair, electronic trouble-shooting, HVAC systems, and chassis repair.
Basic computer knowledge.
Self-motivation and assertiveness.
Ability to work under little or no supervision.
Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
Must provide own tools.
Driver’s license with a good driving record.

Nice To Haves

Kenworth Essentials certifications preferred.
Cummins and MX software experience preferred.
Class A CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

Work in the field at customer locations on medium and heavy-duty class 7 & 8 trucks.
Ensure repairs are done accurately and timely.
Analyze and diagnose truck malfunctions or system failures.
Repair or rebuild cabs, steering systems, engines, transmissions, axles, differentials, brakes, clutches, electrical systems, or air systems.
Maintain and service trucks to ensure reliability, minimize downtime, and extend the life of each vehicle.
Deliver exceptional work in the field, keeping heavy trucks running strong.
