About The Position

Clarke is seeking a Diesel Technician - Truck Mechanic to join their team. This role involves operating a service truck and performing onsite maintenance and repairs for customers. The position offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits, with opportunities for advancement through training. The technician will primarily work in the field (70%) with some shop time (30%).

Requirements

• 2+ years of relevant truck repair experience required.
• Preventative Maintenance Service Background Required.
• Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
• Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card.

Nice To Haves

• Trailer repair experience is a huge plus.
• Certificate or Degree from a Diesel Program is preferred.
• Engine or Transmission Certifications are a huge PLUS.
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is a plus.
• ASE Certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair work on engines, drive trains, steering, electrical systems, suspension, and brakes.
• Conduct repairs primarily within customer secured lots, with occasional roadside assistance.
• Troubleshoot and perform inspections.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Be available for after-hours on-call rotation.
• Operate a mobile service truck daily, with the option to take the service truck home when on call.
• Possess good computer and verbal communication skills.
• Work independently.
• Perform onsite maintenance and repairs at customer locations.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.
