About The Position

Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, with over 50 years’ experience, involved in civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction. We offer a local work environment with benefits, RRSP/TFSA Matching, and a Boot Allowance. This is a full-time, permanent position requiring 10+ hours per day, with Saturdays and Sundays as required, and overtime after 8 hours/day or 44 hours/week. The role is based out of our shop at 9175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB. We are looking for a hard-working, reliable individual who is flexible with their schedule and can work in physically demanding conditions.

Requirements

Personal Reliable Vehicle
CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support
Clean Driver’s Abstract
Valid Class 3Q Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

One (1) year experience as a swamper on a hydrovac truck in an industrial setting is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Washing various pieces of heavy equipment, parts, and support vehicles in the field with high pressure hose.
Ensure proper treatment and maintenance of wash wands and equipment.
Perform general housekeeping to ensure the mobile wash truck is clean and organized.
Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the field for the truck and surrounding environment.
Load and unload supplies from trucks manually and at times may be asked to use equipment.
Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture.
