About The Position

North American Trailer is seeking a Mobile Trailer Technician for our Service Trucks in our Trailer Shop. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and advancement within a Minnesota-based, family-owned business. The role involves the complete repair and general maintenance of semi-trailers and other trailer types. We are looking for individuals with mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a clean driving record. Requirements

Mechanical aptitude
Detail oriented
Willingness to jump in and help out where needed
Clean driving record
Strong work ethic
Technical aptitude with basic electric diagnostic / troubleshooting experience a plus
Welding experience a plus
Basic tool set and tool box to start (assistance programs available)
Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently
Good written and verbal communication skills
Reliability and a dedication to be a hard worker
Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient and friendly work environment
Honesty and respect

Basic electric diagnostic / troubleshooting experience

Responsibilities

Determine vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests.
Identify worn and damaged parts.
Perform repair and customization work including routine maintenance, brake replacement/repair, suspension repair, electrical and pneumatic and hydraulic component troubleshooting and repair, trailer body repair including complete trailer rebuild.
Provide after-sale services, such as component installation.
Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
Ensure the final work product meets quality standards.
Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers.
