NORTH AMERICAN TRAILER- MOBILE TRAILER TECHNICIAN
About The Position
We are a Minnesota based family-owned business with our main location in Inver Grove Heights. As we continue to grow and expand as a company we are hiring a Mobile Trailer Technician for our Service Trucks in our Trailer Shop. We are looking for someone with mechanical aptitude, detail oriented, willing to jump in and help out where needed, clean driving record, and a strong work ethic. This position handles the complete repair and general maintenance of semi-trailers, as well as, all other styles and sizes of trailers. Awarded Star Tribune’s Top Workplaces 7 years in a row. Requirements
- Great work ethic
- Willingness to jump in and help out where needed
- Technical aptitude with basic electric diagnostic / troubleshooting experience a plus
- Welding experience a plus
- Basic tool set and tool box to start (assistance programs available)
- Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Reliability and a dedication to be a hard worker
- Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient and friendly work environment
- Honesty and respect
- Clean driving record

Responsibilities
- Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
- Perform repair and customization work as assigned including routine maintenance, brake replacement/repair, suspension repair, electrical and pneumatic and hydraulic component troubleshooting and repair, trailer body repair including complete trailer rebuild.
- Provide after-sale services, such as component installation
- Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
- Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
- Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers
