About The Position

Fleet Mobile Maintenance is seeking talented Mobile Trailer Technicians to join their growing, family-oriented team. Technicians will perform on-site troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of commercial trailers, conduct mobile road calls and in-yard service, and complete detailed work orders. Responsibilities include inspecting, servicing, and repairing trailer bodies, systems, and components, as well as performing preventative maintenance on semi-trucks and trailers. Specific repair tasks involve hubs, axles, brakes, tires, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems. The role also includes welding/fabrication, structural repairs, ensuring DOT safety and compliance, documenting repairs, and providing excellent customer service. Technicians will also respond quickly to client needs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of proven trailer repair experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift 100+ lbs.
  • Basic computer skills for repair order submission.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must provide own tools and have reliable transportation.
  • Needs to have or be able to obtain a valid Chauffer's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Welding experience/certification.
  • Technical school degree or training.
  • Class A CDL.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial trailers on-site.
  • Perform mobile road calls and in-yard service, completing detailed work orders.
  • Inspect, service, and repair trailer bodies, systems, and components.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on semi-trucks and trailers.
  • Repair and replace hubs, axles, brakes, tires, suspension, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform welding/fabrication and other structural repairs.
  • Ensure all equipment meets DOT safety and compliance requirements.
  • Document repairs, inspections, and findings for management and billing.
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond quickly to client needs.
