About The Position

Amerit Fleet Solutions, a leader in fleet maintenance across the U.S., is hiring a skilled Trailer Technician/Mechanic to join our team in Grayslake, IL. This role involves troubleshooting mechanical issues and keeping fleet vehicles running reliably, offering an opportunity to grow your career with a stable national company. The position is based in Grayslake, IL, with a pay range of $27.00 to $32.00 per hour, paid weekly. Technicians can also earn an SRT Bonus Opportunity of up to $15,000 annually, paid monthly and based on performance.

Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in performing repairs on class 7 - 8 trailers
• Ability to diagnose mechanical issues
• Valid driver’s license
• Must own and maintain personal tools and toolbox necessary to perform job duties
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on trailers
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
• Complete inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety standards
• Document repairs and complete work orders
• Maintain tools and equipment
• Follow safety procedures and company guidelines
• Work with supervisors and team members to keep fleets operational
