Mobile/TAK Developer
About The Position
Accenture Federal Services is seeking a Mobile/TAK (Tactical Awareness Kit) Developer to work remotely as part of an existing team in a constantly evolving environment where new technologies are used frequently and learning never stops. The role involves developing and maintaining Android applications and plugins for ATAK and related TAK ecosystem products, with guidance from senior developers. The developer will help integrate Cursor-on-Target messaging, mapping overlays, and situational awareness features into mobile applications; write, test, and debug code supporting TAK Server API integrations; and work with customers and end users to translate requirements into software features. The candidate should be able to produce customer-facing production code from day one.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience in native Android development using Java and/or Kotlin.
- 1–3 years of experience with source control such as Git.
- Exposure to ATAK plugin development or the broader TAK ecosystem, including TAK Server, CoT messaging, WinTAK, or iTAK.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL.
- Familiarity with geospatial or mapping concepts and symbology standards such as MIL-STD-2525.
- Experience with static analysis, unit testing, and continuous integration.
- Experience handling more than one project concurrently.
- Experience working in AWS environments for development, testing, and integration.
- Experience working in a RHEL-based development environment.
- Exposure to Windows desktop application development, such as C#/.NET or WPF, outside of WinTAK.
- Development experience with Python, Go, or other modern object-oriented languages.
- Experience working in a Linux environment and understanding of agile development.
- Mobile or web application development and REST experience.
Responsibilities
