About The Position

HYTORC, a leader in hydraulic and pneumatic torque wrench manufacturing for over 50 years, is seeking a Mobile Service Technician. This role is crucial for expanding our presence in assigned territories, fostering customer relationships, managing tool repair and calibration, and acting as a technical consultant for application challenges. Our mission is to make industrial bolting simpler, more precise, and more reliable.

Requirements

  • High School diploma
  • 3+ years of hands-on mechanical/technical experience
  • Self-motivated and driven to succeed
  • Experience with a proven track record in customer satisfaction
  • Excellent technical, communication, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Clean and valid driver’s license
  • Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel skills

Responsibilities

  • Travel throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit and perform repair and calibration needs, and provide technical consultation.
  • Initiate contact with prospective customers to grow new business.
  • Address customer needs and issues, including troubleshooting and maintenance of mechanical, hydraulic, and manual tools, pumps, and equipment, utilizing technical experience and company training.
  • Adhere to company processes, procedures, safety standards, and schedules for daily activities, including scheduled repairs and calibrations, cold-calling, and other territory assignments as directed by the Branch Manager.
  • Provide required reporting to the Branch Manager regarding schedule updates, tasks completed, market information, and activity reports detailing weekly accomplishments.
  • Collaborate with the Branch Manager, service team members, engineers, and customers to meet daily repair requirements.
  • Strive to meet goals and Key Performance Indicators outlined by the Branch Manager.
  • Support territory managers for the growth of sales and service opportunities.
  • Check tools for safety decals and safe operating features, and maintain an accurate schedule and record of maintenance.
  • Assist in familiarizing and training customers on tool operation and maintenance.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service by conducting daily activities, communications, and interactions in a cooperative, positive, and professional manner.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork for repairs and calibrations.
  • Responsible for checking in inventory to ensure parts and tools are available for customers.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including detailed quarterly inventories of all parts and equipment.
  • Ensure the service vehicle conforms to safety standards by following through with scheduled repairs and maintenance.
