About The Position
Fleet Repair Solutions, a leader in medium-to heavy-duty fleet service, is looking for skilled Mobile Reefer Trailer Mechanics with trailer repair experience in Ashland, VA. This role involves diagnosing and repairing trailer refrigeration units, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and telematics systems, and conducting full trailer repairs from a service truck using powered industrial equipment. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who enjoys working with their hands and delivering exceptional results.
Requirements
- Reefer technician experience is required
- Trailer repair experience and ability to perform DOT inspections is required
- 608 Certification is required
- Ability to diagnose and repair units using alarm codes
- Ability to read and understand complex schematics and diagrams
- A clean driving record
Nice To Haves
- A CDL is preferred but not required
- Welding experience with steel and aluminum is a plus
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair trailer refrigeration units
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot electrical systems
- Conduct routine telematics repairs and inspections
- Accurately track and document repairs using our computer system
- Perform inspections and repairs on reefer units
- Perform full trailer repair from a service truck using powered industrial equipment
