About The Position

ExamOne, a Quest Diagnostics company, is hiring a PRN, field-based Mobile Phlebotomist / Examiner in New York. The role provides patient care and diagnostic services in ExamOne centers and at clients’ homes or workplaces. It involves local travel and a flexible schedule, with a focus on accurate specimen handling, customer service, and timely completion of administrative tasks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active phlebotomy or medical assistant certification, based on state requirements.
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience, including at least 100 documented successful blood draws.
• Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients, urine collections, and EKG administration.
• Internet access, a computer, and a printer.
• Valid driver’s license and at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Motor vehicle record with no more than 2 moving violation convictions in the previous 36 months and none in the most recent 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Conduct examinations at individuals’ homes or workplaces.
• Take basic vital signs and record medical histories.
• Perform venipunctures, urine collections, and EKGs as applicable.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and package specimens for safe, timely transport.
• Travel locally to meet clients and provide customer service.
• Use company technology to confirm appointments, update case statuses, and upload completed exams to the portal within 24–48 hours.
• Assist with inventory and maintain clean workspaces.
• Handle dispatch calls.
• Occasionally mentor new team members.
