Mobile Phlebotomist
About The Position
This PRN, as-needed role offers flexible opportunities to perform in-home blood draws in the phlebotomist’s surrounding area. The position is an independent contractor (1099), part-time role with no set shifts, minimum or maximum hours, guaranteed number of draws, or full-time commitment. Phlebotomists set and update their own availability, receive notifications when patient requests match their area and available times, and choose whether to accept each offer. Demand is concentrated on weekday mornings and early afternoons, with little to no current demand for evening, weekend, or holiday draws. Pay is $50 per completed draw, plus mileage compensation when applicable. The role may suit someone seeking supplemental income and an opportunity to provide in-home patient care.
Requirements
- Active phlebotomy certification.
- At least six months of current, relevant work experience, excluding instructional hours completed while obtaining certification.
- Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
- Fluency in English.
- A smartphone with internet access.
Responsibilities
- Set and upload available time slots to the calendar.
- Update availability as needed, without maintaining a fixed schedule.
- Review patient details and draw offers received for matching available times and locations.
- Choose whether to accept or decline each offer.
- Complete accepted in-home blood draws.
