About The Position

Getlabs is a platform for at-home diagnostics that connects healthcare organizations with mobile phlebotomists to collect labs, vitals, and advanced diagnostics from patients. The company aims to expand access to diagnostics and improve patient adherence and gaps in care.

The Mobile Phlebotomist visits patients at their homes or offices, collects and processes specimens, and delivers samples to patient service centers or laboratories. This full-time position requires a high standard of accuracy, strong patient service, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The role is based around daily appointments in San Francisco and follows a Monday–Friday, 5 a.m.–2 p.m. shift. Candidates must be willing to drive and work in a rapidly growing environment.

Requirements

• Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency.
• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
• Experience processing samples.
• Certification from a national agency such as AMT, ASCP, or NCCT.
• A proven track record of exceptional customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to drive in the dark, as first appointments may begin as early as 5 a.m.
• Ability to access patients physically, including kneeling, bending, stooping, sitting, and reaching.
• Ability to navigate patients’ homes, including climbing stairs and carrying 15 pounds while walking.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation and a clean driving record.
• Proof of the first COVID-19 vaccine shot within 30 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Mobile phlebotomy experience.
• Fluency in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Visit patients at their homes or offices and drive to and from appointments.
• Drop samples off at patient service centers or laboratories.
• Follow safe and accurate blood collection procedures and process specimens with a high degree of accuracy.
• Maintain close communication with the operations and patient experience team during business hours.
• Provide patients with a thoughtful, empathetic, and high-quality experience.
