Mobile Occupancy Inspection Contractor
About The Position
FAR Inspections is seeking a reliable independent contractor to perform residential mortgage inspections in Iowa County, Wisconsin, and surrounding communities. This role offers the opportunity to earn supplemental or full-time income on a flexible schedule. As a Field Inspector, you will conduct brief, exterior visits to verify property occupancy status and report on general conditions using industry-standard mobile applications. The position requires autonomy in managing your own routing, schedule, and territory, with standard inspections typically taking only 5-6 minutes on-site. You will be responsible for determining property occupancy, capturing photos, submitting reports, and maintaining reliability regarding territory coverage and deadlines. This role involves significant driving and making numerous stops throughout the day in your assigned territory, which covers a dense metro area where familiarity with city driving, parking, and navigating multi-unit properties is helpful.
Requirements
- Reliable, fuel-efficient vehicle.
- Smartphone (Android or iPhone) capable of running mobile reporting apps.
- Computer with an internet connection and a printer.
- Strong time-management skills to meet deadlines without direct supervision.
- Ability to pass a standard background check.
