This role is for a Mobile Heavy Equipment & Diesel Mechanic who will be the go-to expert for customers across their region, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining highly specialized truck-mounted equipment. Most work is performed on customer sites, with occasional shop support. The mechanic will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various types of equipment including bucket trucks/aerial devices, digger derricks, truck-mounted cranes (LMI & CAN-bus systems), hydraulic utility equipment & major components, and heavy- and light-duty truck chassis, diesel, and electrical systems. The role involves performing inspections, preventive maintenance, and on-site diagnostics, reading and interpreting manuals, schematics, and repair orders, and using laptops and diagnostic software to identify issues. Accurate documentation of repair orders, timecards, and inspection forms is required, along with effective communication with customers and CTOS teams to minimize downtime. The mechanic must follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements and participate in ongoing CTOS and manufacturer training. Travel within and occasionally beyond the assigned territory is also part of the role.
