About The Position

Heimes Corporation, a construction company based in Omaha, Nebraska, is seeking a qualified Heavy Diesel Equipment Mechanic. The role involves making repairs on a wide range of construction equipment and vehicles, as well as performing general maintenance. Heimes Corp. offers diverse services including Excavating, Underground Utilities, Recycled Concrete, Plumbing, Directional Drilling, Underground Storage Tanks, Wrecking, Transportation, and Hazardous Materials Cleanup/Hauling (ESI).

Requirements

• Full time applicants should have their own tools
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to work on a wide range of equipment/vehicles
• Experience with CASE, CAT, John Deere & Komatsu equipment
• Experience with Ford, Kenworth and many other DOT pickups/trucks/trailers
• Experience with Cummins, CAT, and Detroit engines
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Must speak and understand the English language

Nice To Haves

• Welding experience
• CDL

Responsibilities

• Make repairs on equipment/vehicles
• Perform general maintenance on equipment/vehicles
• Work on a wide range of equipment/vehicles including Excavators, Compactors, Dozers, Wheel Loaders, Semi’s, Trucks, Tractors, Ford, Kenworth and other DOT pickups/trucks/trailers.
• Work on Cummins, CAT, and Detroit engines.
• Abide by DOT regulations.
• Speak and understand the English language for construction safety reasons.
