Under general supervision, the incumbent is responsible for planning, implementing, and managing food assistance projects for the low-income community. CAPSBC Food Bank’s Mobile Pantry Program improves access to healthy foods for residents of low-income neighborhoods throughout a designated service area. This position is responsible for the implementation and success of the program, as well as meeting client outcomes and grant objectives. This is a demanding professional position that coordinates, recruits, schedules and supervises the mobile pantry distribution process from start to finish. The coordinator acts as a representative of the food bank actively engaging with our volunteers, clients, and partners to ensure they have a positive experience while maintaining the highest food safety and civil rights standards. The position requires extensive travel throughout San Bernardino County, providing a direct service to low-income clients, and will be subject to outdoor environmental and weather conditions. Ideal candidates have previous leadership experience and enjoy interacting with people of diverse ages and backgrounds and working as part of a team. The position may include modified working hours including some evenings and weekends, driving, transporting, and delivering food to food insecure clients throughout San Bernardino County.
