About The Position

Arcosa Aggregates is seeking a safety-focused Mobile Equipment Operator based out of our Oldwick Quarry to support a positive safety culture in an aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards working with a team to produce natural aggregates in a mining environment in our East Region. This role is responsible for operating quarry equipment.

Requirements

  • 1-2 Years experience preferred
  • Experience with Loader SIZE 980
  • Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
  • Positive, Team-based attitude
  • The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 lbs. on occasion.
  • The ability to work in varied outdoor environments (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy)
  • Ability to Operate Heavy Equipment Safely
  • Understand and carry out oral & written instructions
  • Ability to keep accurate daily record.
  • Knowledge of plant maintenance and construction materials
  • Good Mental concentration and judgement
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Nice To Haves

  • Current MSHA Training a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Actively promote and support a strong safety culture by following all MSHA/OSHA regulations and company safety policies
  • Operate various types of heavy equipment, including loaders, bulldozers, excavators, and haul trucks, to support daily production
  • Perform daily pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections to ensure proper operation and performance
  • Complete routine maintenance tasks, including greasing, fluid checks, and minor adjustments to maintain equipment reliability
  • Monitor and control equipment functions such as levers, pedals, and attachments (buckets, blades, etc.) to move materials efficiently
  • Assist with plant operations by controlling material flow and supporting production needs
  • Maintain clear communication with supervisors, operators, and plant personnel to ensure safe and efficient operations
  • Comply with all company procedures, safety rules, and applicable government regulations
  • Support housekeeping, cleanup, and general site maintenance to maintain a safe work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall operations
