About The Position

Operates a knuckleboom, wheel loader, or front-end loader. The ideal candidate has experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, and other heavy industrial equipment. The position includes loading, unloading, sorting, and transporting materials; assisting with treatment charges and hazardous waste; and helping maintain mobile equipment. Requirements

• Mobile heavy equipment operator experience.
• Front-end loader or tractor experience.
• PIE certification.
• Good eye/hand coordination.
• Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.

Nice To Haves

• Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, and other heavy industrial equipment.
• Mobile heavy equipment operator experience with wood products.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, sorts, and transports materials.
• Moves materials to and from processing equipment, railroad cars and trucks, treating trams, storage bins, and other areas as required.
• Operates the truck and controls the movement of its lifting apparatus using levers and pedals.
• Positions forks, a lifting platform, or another lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials, and transports the load to a designated area.
• Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering the lifting device.
• Participates in physical inventories.
• Assists in moving treatment charges for storage, loading, and unloading.
• Assists with mobile equipment maintenance and service as required, including inspections, fueling, safety, and cleaning.
• Documents and reports equipment mechanical operation and maintenance requirements.
• Assists with hazardous waste processing, handling, and loading for shipment.
• Participates in and contributes to the company safety program.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
