About The Position

The Doe Run Company is seeking a Mobile Equipment Mechanic III to maintain Doe Run Company mobile equipment in order to ensure process safety and minimize division downtime. This day shift position is located at Brushy Creek Underground in Boss, MO. The work location may change as needed to support production and business needs within the Viburnum Trend in Southeast Missouri.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of industrial mechanic experience, diesel mechanic experience, or equivalent vocational training.
  • Must complete the Doe Run Mobile Maintenance Mechanic training and pass the Mobile Maintenance Mechanic III Nocti written skills assessment with a passing grade.
  • Minimum of four years of experience in a mechanical maintenance role.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Basic knowledge of divisional operations (i.e., mining, milling, smelting).
  • Advanced mechanical skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical and low-voltage DC troubleshooting and basic mechanical repairs.
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment, including cranes, forklifts, skid steer loaders, etc.
  • Working knowledge of metal fabrication, hydraulics/pneumatics, refractory work, bearings/seals, welding, pipe fitting, pump repair, mechanical repairs, and construction maintenance.
  • Basic computer skills and diagnostic skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, I-Series, AS400/PeopleSoft.
  • Ability to read and draw schematics/blueprints.
  • Demonstrated skill in using small hand tools, advanced measuring, and basic mathematical calculations.

  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Provide scheduled maintenance and repairs.
  • Manage time to provide effective, timely, and efficient repair and maintenance service.
  • Install new equipment and modify existing equipment as required per job site.
  • Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health, and safety) policies, procedures, and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
