About The Position

Work outside a shop as a Mobile Diesel Technician in Fairburn, Georgia, completing on-site maintenance on trucks, containers, and trailers. The technician is supplied with a service truck stocked with specialty tools and parts needed to complete work efficiently and correctly.

The role requires travel to on-site customers and independent work with little supervision. Requirements

• A technical degree in diesel technology or a related field, or at least 1 year of diesel technician experience.
• Travel to on-site customers is required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet Schneider DMV record standards.
• Valid DOT medical card, or ability to attain one within 30 days.
• Experience with computer systems and diagnostic software.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Ability to provide own tools within 30 days of hire.

• Basic welding skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site maintenance, including tire changes, electrical repairs, engine repairs, and welding jobs.
• Complete inspections, diagnoses, and work estimations.
• Communicate status updates to Schneider drivers and internal customers.
