This role is for a Mobile Diesel Technician Level 3 responsible for performing repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, powertrains, electrical systems, HVAC, steering, electronics, brakes, suspension, and after-treatment devices. The technician will also perform preventive maintenance, reconditioning of equipment, and welding. Advanced diagnostic skills for specific engine models and proficiency with diagnostic software are required. The role involves identifying and performing warrantable repairs, using various hand and power tools, maintaining a safe work area, road testing vehicles, and performing routine maintenance. The technician will work with minimal supervision, mentor other technicians, ensure DOT compliance, and process transactions within the maintenance system. They may also assist with fleet analyses and miscellaneous projects.
