About The Position
Behavioral Health Connections, Inc. provides patient-focused, comprehensive mental health services, including 24/7 mental health evaluations for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in crisis. Their service model focuses on assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and disposition, recommending the most appropriate level of care and treatment facilities. They also offer tele-psychiatric assessment and consultation services to connect individuals with care providers best equipped to address their mental health issues, aiming for rapid response to expedite their journey to wellness. The Mobile Assessor position in Houston, TX, is a full-time role working night shifts. The Mobile Assessor provides mental health assessments for contracted emergency rooms and/or hospitals, recommends the appropriate level of treatment based on the assessment of risk factors, and triages patients to suitable services.
Requirements
- Degree in Nursing or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Behavioral Health or related field
- Current license in state as a Licensed Professional Counselor (“LPC”), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (“LMFT”), Licensed Master Social Worker (“LMSW”), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (“LCSW”), or Registered Nurse (“RN”)
- Current CPR, if required by a customer hospital
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Completion of appropriate internship, including the provision of individual, group or family therapy/counseling
- Experience providing individual, group and family therapy/counseling
