About The Position

Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma (DLO) is seeking a dedicated MLS/MLT I to support Point of Care (POC) programs for DLO/INTEGRIS hospital facilities. This role is crucial for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining the quality of POC testing platforms. The position involves monitoring nursing performance, performing equipment QA, troubleshooting, and managing POC systems, instrumentation, and supplies. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, excellent organizational and communication abilities, and the capacity to work independently and collaboratively. A broad knowledge of POC testing and its governing regulations is preferred, or a strong willingness to learn. Previous lab experience is required for a solid understanding of basic laboratory testing and Quality Assurance initiatives.

Requirements

  • High level of computer skill necessary.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to participate in projects with inter-organizational groups and ability to make independent decisions.
  • Broad knowledge of testing performed as Point of Care and the regulations governing POC, or a strong desire and ability to learn dynamics unique to POC environments.
  • Previous lab experience required for solid understanding of basic laboratory testing, including Quality Assurance initiatives.
  • MT/MLS with Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Biological, Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of laboratory training or experience in Point-of-Care, Non-Waived testing environments.
  • Willing to travel within OKC Metro areas as required to meet business needs of POC service delivery to INTEGRIS ER/Urgent care campuses.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supporting Point of Care programs for DLO/INTEGRIS hospital facilities, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor nursing performance of POC testing platforms.
  • Perform POC Equipment QA measures including maintenance, troubleshooting, and validations.
  • Coordinate management of POC computer systems, instrumentation, and reagent supplies.
  • Capable of effective interaction with hospital administrative personnel and nursing staff at multiple clinical campus sites.
