About The Position

Watertown Public Schools seeks ML Curriculum Review Team Members to review and update the current ML curriculum for Levels 1-3+. This is a part-time position located at Watertown High School.

Requirements

• Currently an ML teacher or ESL Certified teacher at WHS.

Responsibilities

• Review the current curriculum and update it for the newly designated courses: ELD Level 1+2
• Submit the following products by 8/28/2026: Syllabus completed and submitted, Curriculum map completed and submitted in Atlas, Unit plan for 1st unit completed and submitted in Atlas
• Submit Unit Plans (Stages 1-3, including a learning plan) at the end of each quarter into Atlas
• Ensure all work meets CURATE Standards according to the NGESL and WIDA Prime rubrics
• Ensure the curriculum aligns with the WIDA 2020 and MA Content State Standards for the language of Math, Science, Social Studies, and ELA.
• Develop a curriculum that includes a variety of assessments, provides consistent, immediate feedback on student learning, and asks analytical questions that elicit responses incorporating prior knowledge, life experience, and interests directly related to the content objectives.
• Work with a consultant and the Secondary ML Coach to ensure alignment with grade-level standards and the Integrated ESL courses.
