About The Position

This role is responsible for demonstrating behaviors that support company safety procedures, with a focus on achieving zero injuries. The Mixer will exhibit behaviors that support quality work processes, including documenting and tracking production variables, downtime, and product samples. This position ensures the blending of raw materials by weight or automatic metering systems and follows and documents time and temperature points in recipe specifications to meet quality standards. The Mixer will start-up, operate, maintain production processing equipment, and perform shut-down procedures. They will scale minor ingredients by weight, count, or bulk flow meters into bins or mixing equipment according to company-issued recipes. The Mixer will maintain computer-related equipment or control panels to operate automated machinery and report to the line Team Lead. This role requires working overtime to achieve production and maintenance schedules.

Requirements

  • 3 months of experience working in a production, manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Experience working in a food processing or packaging environment
  • Experience working in an automated machinery environment (with PLCs or MMIs)
  • Experience work in a USDA, FDA, OSHA, or GMP compliant environment
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Sit, stand, walk and climb stairs during time on duty.
  • Lift or push 50+ lbs
  • Read recipes to mix correct ingredients.
  • Manually transport packaging bags & containers
  • Stand up to twelve (12) hours
