About The Position

Chisholm Trail Veterinary Clinic-Luling is seeking a dedicated part-time seasonal Mixed Animal Technician to join their team. The clinic aims to be a place of comfort for clients and their animals. This role involves supporting the team in caring for a variety of species, including equine, cattle, and other farm animals. The position offers opportunities for growth in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Must be a bright, friendly, and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other hospital staff.
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift 50 squirming pounds

Nice To Haves

• At least 3 years of mixed animal experience preferred (veterinary setting not required).

Responsibilities

• Patient Handling & Restraint – Safely managing a variety of animals, from small pets (dogs & cats) to farm animals and livestock (equine, cattle, and more).
• Clinic Maintenance – Assisting with cleaning, laundry, and general clinic upkeep to maintain a welcoming environment.
• Medication Administration & Prescriptions – Administering medications and preparing prescriptions as directed.
• Supporting the Veterinary Team – Assisting our Veterinarians and Technicians with procedures, treatments, and patient care.
• Taking on Projects – Tackling tasks as assigned.
