About The Position

Together, with our partners, we are enabling the discovery of next-generation therapeutics. We are seeking a part-time Animal Technician who will be responsible for monitoring daily animal health and welfare while performing animal husbandry duties to maintain the quality and health of our animals. We will provide training for the daily tasks of feeding, cleaning and visual welfare checks. The ideal candidate is able to commit to a consistent schedule and is reliable. This opportunity is well-suited for people looking for a flexible, part-time schedule.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and English fluency.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to commit to a consistent, part-time schedule.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in animal husbandry.
  • Experience with safety requirements and animal handling best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the health and well-being of the animals and provide food and water.
  • Collect data daily and enter the data into databases.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain records to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to biosecurity measures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
