About The Position

This position works out of our Westfield, IN, location in the Structural Heart division. The MitraClip Operations Coordinator I assists the supervisor in developing action plans to hit required output. Performs production reviews to ensure a high level of quality before releasing product. As necessary, assembles MitraClip device subassemblies and finished goods in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures. Performs a wide variety of assembly operations including heavy microscopy use, soldering, complex gluing operations, fusing of materials, precise loading/alignment of components, and numerous inspections in accordance with complex manufacturing process instructions.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum 4 years Overall and industry-specific experience needed.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the supervisor in developing action plans to hit required output.
  • Performs production reviews to ensure high level of quality before releasing product.
  • As necessary, assembles MitraClip device subassemblies and finished goods in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures.
  • Performs a wide variety of assembly operations including heavy microscopy use, soldering, complex gluing operations, fusing of materials, precise loading/alignment of components, and numerous inspections in accordance with complex manufacturing process instructions.
  • Understands requirements related to unplanned events and equipment issues.
  • Able to navigate resources as needed to remediate compliance issues.
  • Demonstrates complete understanding of procedures within functional group.
  • Understands when issues need to be elevated to quality engineering.
  • Able to communicate Abbott Quality Policy.
  • Identify potential Quality System gaps, communicate to Engineering, and remediate as appropriate.
  • Shows good decision-making skills.
  • Shows consideration of options and use of tools with some direction. E.g. data analysis, lessons learned.
  • Receptive to constructive feedback and learns from mistakes.
  • Communicates Safety concerns to CER Leadership.
  • Ensures Daily Schedule has operators rotate stations every 4 hours.
  • Designates a daily Stretch Lead and ensures consistency and adherence among line members.
  • Understands or seeks out task priorities and complete tasks on schedule with minimal Supervisor guidance.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and documents request appropriately (CO/BM Tracker etc.).
  • Advocates improvement and collaborates with other functional groups.
  • Documents vacation requests in Vacation/OOO HC tracker.
  • Understands OOO requirements on line (i.e. 2 or less HC OOO per line on a given shift).
  • Able to interface among groups efficiently with Supervisor guidance.
  • Knows “who is who”, where to go, how to present the proposed changes and get buy-in from other groups.
  • Achieves standard work for a minimum of 7-8 stations.
  • Documents issues on DBTH tracker.
  • Documents information on hourly tracking forms for Lead.
  • Takes initiative of WIP management of line.
  • Operates independently with minimal oversight.
  • Creates eLHR traveler as needed.
