About The Position

The Structural Heart business at Abbott is dedicated to restoring health and improving the quality of life through the design and provision of device and management solutions for the treatment of structural heart disease. This position is located in Westfield, IN, and involves assembling the lifesaving MitraClip device in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility that began commercial production in 2022. The site is expected to employ over 500 team members by 2026, offering significant opportunities for personal and professional growth. No prior medical-device experience is necessary, as a comprehensive hands-on training program will be provided, focusing on working in a clean-room environment. Successful candidates typically have a strong attention to detail, a willingness to learn, a positive attitude, and the ability to work with small tools and materials, often under a microscope, due to the largely manual assembly process.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to read, comprehend and implement lengthy, complex procedures written in English
• Ability to work overtime is required
• A Positive Attitude
• A Desire to Do Meaningful Work and Change People’s Lives!
• Ability to work with small tools and materials, often under a microscope.
