Founded in 1888, Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County (UGM-TC) is a Christian organization dedicated to helping homeless women, men, and families by providing love, hope, respect, and a new beginning. UGM-TC relies on community generosity for funding and offers a residency program to help individuals transition out of homelessness and develop life skills for independence. This position specifically works in a building for WOMEN and is a Part-Time/Flex/Floater role, potentially working any of the three shifts on short notice to cover staff absences. The typical work week is approximately 24 hours. The Mission Support Mentor is primarily responsible for supporting guest operations within UGM-TC's Overnight Shelter (SW), Emergency Stabilization (SW), and programs serving unaccompanied women and families. This role is ideal for individuals with customer service experience who wish to make a significant difference in the lives of others. Previous experience in hospitality or retail, particularly in front desk or customer service leadership roles, is beneficial due to the need for checking guests in, utilizing various computer applications, and providing service and problem-solving for guests.
