About The Position

Purolator International is a U.S.-based supply chain logistics solutions provider specializing in air and ground forwarding of express, freight, and parcel shipments, customs brokerage, fulfillment, and delivery services. The Mission Critical Specialist provides coordination and oversight of domestic air and ground shipments, as well as import and export shipments at gateway. The work includes shipment and document preparation, booking, customs-clearance coordination, and pickup and delivery in a 24/7/365 operating environment. This is a remote position open to applicants in various locations. The stated schedule is Friday 8:15 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Saturday 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., Sunday 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., and Monday 8:15 a.m.–5:00 p.m. The role also requires cross-coverage as needed, which may include overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts. The position requires at least three years of direct mission-critical, air-express, same-day, freight-forwarding, or comparable high-urgency logistics experience. Candidates must be able to execute shipments, manage documentation and routing, coordinate carriers, agents, and customers, and resolve disruptions and service failures in real time. A bachelor’s degree and/or at least three years of position-related logistics experience is required. The base salary range is $56,000 to $67,000; actual pay may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other factors permitted by law.

Requirements

  • At least three years of direct mission-critical, air-express, same-day, freight-forwarding, or comparable high-urgency logistics experience involving real-time decisions and service recovery.
  • Direct experience executing import/export shipments, including documentation, routing, carrier coordination, point-to-point movement, and issue resolution.
  • Ability to independently resolve complex routing and service failures, make rapid operational decisions under pressure, and escalate appropriately with limited oversight.
  • Strong customer service skills combined with direct operational ownership of shipments; customer-facing experience alone is insufficient without shipment execution experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple urgent shipments simultaneously in a time-critical environment where priorities change rapidly.
  • Ability to ramp up quickly, work with minimal supervision, and become independently productive within a short onboarding period.
  • Ability to own end-to-end shipment execution from booking through delivery while coordinating with internal teams, carriers, agents, and customers.
  • Consistent performance amid immediate deadlines, shipment disruptions, escalations, and continuous real-time problem solving.
  • A bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of three years of position-related logistics experience.
  • Willingness to work the stated schedule and provide cross-coverage as needed, including potentially overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.
