About The Position

Serves as a senior advisor providing strategic direction and subject matter expertise to support the stabilization and growth of Small Glide Munitions (SGM) and Small Cruise Missile (SCM) operations. Offers guidance on team management, production continuity, and forward-looking development opportunities, while contributing insights on broader Small Airborne Effectors (SAE) growth, contract oversight, and customer relationship management. Role operates with high complexity and organizational impact, leveraging deep historical knowledge and experience in a limited capacity to inform decision-making and ensure continuity during a transitional period within Kinetic Effects Business Area.

Requirements

  • 40+ years of technical Program Management and Systems Engineering Management in defense systems development, missile systems production, weapons acquisition, modeling and simulation, C4ISR, and unmanned systems operations.
  • Extensive experience managing large-scale DoD programs, production operations, Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), and cross-functional integrated product teams.
  • Program oversight for Small Glide Munition (SGM) program
  • Extensive experience leading large organizations across DoD, R&D, and production environments
  • Direct experience with DCMA and DCAA audits, government reporting, and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic guidance to SGM and SCM leadership on team structure, priorities, and performance management practices.
  • Review and assess current SGM production processes to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for stabilization.
  • Advise on continuation strategies for SGM production, including resource alignment and workflow optimization.
  • Evaluate and recommend forward development opportunities to enhance SGM capabilities and long-term growth.
  • Analyze existing SCM operations and provide recommendations to improve coordination, execution, and output quality.
  • Consult on SAE growth strategies by reviewing current programs, pipelines, and expansion opportunities.
  • Review historical customer relationships and provide insight on engagement strategies to maintain and expand partnerships.
  • Participate in periodic leadership discussions to provide expert input on strategic decisions and operational challenges.
  • Mentor and advise team leads by sharing institutional knowledge and lessons learned from prior program experience.
