About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Miscellaneous Steel and Waterworks Estimator to join our team. This in-house position requires a strong understanding of structural and miscellaneous steel, the ability to read and interpret structural steel and civil drawings, and knowledge of waterworks estimating. The role involves analyzing project documents to determine material requirements and will be based at our Princeton, TX facility, with a planned move to Van Alstyne, TX in winter of 2026. This is an in-house position with no remote working options. We are committed to providing a drug-free work environment and require candidates to pass a drug test.

Requirements

A minimum of 3 years as a steel estimator.
Knowledgeable in Structural Steel.
Knowledgeable in Miscellaneous Steel.
Must know how to read / interpret Structural Steel Drawings.
Must know how to read / interpret Civil Drawings.
Knowledge of Waterworks Estimating.
Must Pass a Drug Test.

Nice To Haves

Use of TEKLA Software is a “plus”.
Welding Background is a “PLUS”.

Responsibilities

Analyze construction plans, specifications, and other project documents to determine materials required for miscellaneous steel and waterworks projects.
Interpret structural steel drawings and civil drawings.
Estimate materials for the manufacture and erection of steel members including columns, beams, braces, trusses, stairs, handrails, joists, metal decking, and non-building structures.
Utilize strong problem-solving abilities in the estimation process.
Present findings and communicate effectively.
