About The Position

The MIS POS Systems Coordinator is responsible for the administration, support, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's Point-of-Sale (POS) systems. The Coordinator also leads a team of technicians, providing direction, training, and support while collaborating with multiple departments to ensure business objectives, project timelines, and operational requirements are met.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting POS systems, ticketing systems, retail technology, or hospitality technology environments.
  • Prior supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Experience with payment processing, credit card terminals, and PCI compliance.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills involving hardware, software, networking, and peripheral devices.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Business Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting admission, amusement park, attraction, zoo, museum, waterpark, or venue ticketing systems.
  • Experience with POS reporting, sales reconciliation, and operational analytics.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases and report generation.
  • Experience with project management and technology implementation initiatives.
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, PCI Professional (PCIP), or related technical certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and support Point-of-Sale systems for admission ticketing, food and beverage, and related operations.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot POS hardware, software, and peripherals.
  • Support payment processing systems, credit card terminals, and related merchant services.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime.
  • Coordinate POS system upgrades, patches, implementations, and deployments.
  • Lead and supervise a team of POS support technicians, including training, coaching, and performance management.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and training materials.
  • Provide end-user training and support to operational departments.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to identify business requirements and implement POS solutions.
  • Assist with project planning, testing, implementation, and change management activities.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with organizational and PCI standards.
  • Generate and analyze system reports to support operational and business needs.
  • Facilitate communication between departments to ensure project milestones and deadlines are achieved.
  • Maintain inventory of POS equipment, replacement parts, and related technology assets.
  • Provide on-call or emergency support for critical system issues as required.
