Global MIS Manager

Assured Data ProtectionHerndon, VA
Hybrid

About The Position

MIS sits within Shared Services at Assured Data Protection, managing the day-to-day technology experience for 300+ employees and contractors globally, from laptops and identity to the key applications people rely on every day. We're looking for a hands-on Global MIS Manager to own the MIS service, including service desk queue, combining people leadership with hands-on ownership of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and our device management stack, balancing day-to-day operations with security and compliance discipline.

Requirements

  • Experience managing a global, geographically distributed IT/MIS team across multiple regions/time zones, with a clear operating cadence and consistent standards.
  • Experience owning enterprise policies across identity, endpoints, and SaaS governance, and leading audit evidence collection in regulated environments.
  • Proven experience producing senior leadership reporting and managing prioritisation trade-offs based on risk and business need; 3-5 years of management experience.
  • Proven ability to design and enforce least privilege/RBAC, Conditional Access, and privileged role governance, plus SSO/SAML integrations across SaaS applications.
  • Strong hands-on administration with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune, plus endpoint security ownership and hardening.
  • Experience supporting Windows and macOS environments.
  • Budgeting and financial planning: forecasting, renewals, licensing optimisation, and tracking spend against plan.
  • Setting expectations, delegating effectively, and holding teams accountable through metrics and follow-through.

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL Foundation (or equivalent practical ITSM experience) preferred, along with familiarity with tools such as Zendesk and Atlassian (Jira/Confluence).
  • Experience supporting compliance/audit activities and evidence collection.

Responsibilities

  • Own the MIS service desk queue: triage, prioritisation, escalations, stakeholder communications, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish a consistent global operating cadence and on-call rotation (coverage, escalation paths, and post-incident follow-up) to support 24/7/365 operations.
  • Partner with HR and the Assets team on joiner/mover/leaver processes, onboarding/offboarding, and access readiness.
  • Drive documentation and operational reporting (volumes, backlog, root causes); deliver monthly SLT reporting on performance, risks, and improvements.
  • Own end-user device lifecycle (provisioning, onboarding/offboarding, repairs, refresh, secure decommissioning) for Windows and macOS, including meeting room/conferencing technology (Neat Bar).
  • Administer and mature endpoint management via Microsoft Intune and Apple Business Manager: configuration, compliance policies, application deployment, and patching workflows.
  • Ensure endpoint security fundamentals are enforced (patching, encryption, secure remote support, least-privilege local admin) and that Sophos MDR operates effectively across managed laptops.
  • Administer and continuously improve Microsoft 365 services (Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint/OneDrive) with strong operational discipline.
  • Lead administration of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD): joiner/mover/leaver processes, group and role management, authentication methods, conditional access, and access reviews.
  • Manage enterprise application access governance with a strong RBAC and least-privilege mindset, ensuring privileged access is tightly controlled and auditable, and support SSO adoption across business applications.
  • Run an application intake and review process with InfoSec, Compliance, and Finance so requests are properly assessed on security, cost, and supportability.
  • Maintain an authoritative application inventory and ownership model; identify and consolidate duplicate tools to reduce cost and operational overhead.
  • Own operational administration of core applications and SaaS tools (Slack, Teams, SharePoint, Atlassian, Zendesk, HubSpot, Gong, Zoom, Thrive, and more), ensuring stable service and licensing optimisation.
  • Proactively identify gaps in security controls and tooling, and drive remediation with InfoSec/Compliance, ensuring MIS services align with enterprise security policy (identity, endpoint configuration, access control, SaaS governance).
  • Partner with Compliance on audits and evidence requests, support incident response for MIS-managed platforms, and maintain evidence-quality, auditable records; Assured maintains SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, and ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Own governance decisions, risk-based prioritisation, and vendor relationships (renewals, escalations, service level expectations) across MIS-managed platforms.
  • Own annual MIS budget and licensing planning (forecasting, renewals), and drive roadmap planning balancing user experience, efficiency, and security.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401K program with company matching.
  • 3 day in-office presence with remote work flexibility.
  • Flex holidays
  • Robust 401k plan
  • Flexible working practices
