About The Position

The Ministry Recruiter is a key member of the Archdiocese of Chicago’s spiritual renewal efforts. The role is embedded in the Office for Parish Renewal and reports to the Department of Human Resources. It provides dedicated support to identify, recruit, and accompany prospective candidates for renewal and ministry roles through the application process. The recruiter owns the full recruitment lifecycle, including event strategy, campus and conference outreach, and onboarding coordination, while building lasting partnerships with mission-aligned institutions and networks.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree.
At least 3 years of ministry and/or recruitment experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills.

Nice To Haves

Work experience in evangelization, adult discipleship, or parish renewal.
Work experience in ministry recruitment or Catholic theological education recruitment.
Spanish language competency.

Responsibilities

Manage the schedule of recruitment events at targeted colleges and conferences.
Create and manage a list of recruitment events in collaboration with DPVM leadership.
Coordinate event schedules and connect with relevant office members for staffing.
Attend the majority of campus and conference visits.
Manage relationships with contacts and prospective employees.
Manage relationships with conferences and school leadership for pipeline development.
Oversee the recruitment journey from first contact to the candidate’s first day.
Provide initial onboarding support in collaboration with office leadership.
