About The Position

As a Mining Technology & Change Consultant for Caterpillar’s MineStar product family, you will lead technology implementations at customer mine sites, bringing together people, processes, and technology to transform mining operations. You will own implementations from planning through successful deployment and work directly with mining customers, dealers, and cross-functional teams. The role requires understanding mining operations, building customer trust, and helping sites navigate the operational changes associated with adopting new technology. You will work with MineStar technology and travel to mine sites across North America to help customers translate technology into operational change. The position carries significant ownership for project outcomes in complex mine-site environments. It is full-time and onsite five days a week at the Tucson, Arizona, or Phoenix, Arizona office, with 25–50% domestic travel. Domestic relocation is available; visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

Experience working at mine sites or within mining operations, with a strong understanding of operational environments and customer needs.
Ability to understand customer challenges and translate them into practical solutions.
Strong aptitude for technology and ability to quickly understand complex technical solutions.
Strong project management skills, including planning, coordination, risk management, stakeholder management, and ownership of outcomes.
Ability to act as a trusted advisor to mining customers and guide them through technology implementation and operational change.
Strong understanding of mining operations and ability to connect technology solutions to mine-site needs.
Comfort challenging existing processes and helping customers adopt new ways of working.
Strong communication skills across all levels of an organization.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address technical, operational, and project challenges.
Ability to adapt in dynamic mine-site environments and make sound decisions to keep implementations moving forward.
Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with customers, dealers, and cross-functional teams.

Ability to work full-time onsite five days a week at the Tucson, Arizona, or Phoenix, Arizona office and travel 25–50%.

Responsibilities

Lead MineStar technology implementations at customer mine sites, coordinating activities from planning through deployment.
Coordinate customers, dealers, and internal teams throughout projects.
Consult with mining customers to understand their operations, challenges, and site-specific needs.
Lead change across people, processes, and technology to support adoption of MineStar solutions.
Manage project scope, schedules, deliverables, risks, and overall implementation success.
Understand MineStar solutions and configure and implement systems according to commercial requirements and customer needs.
Support customers and dealers with documentation, training, and functional specifications.
Participate in the full project lifecycle, including commercial activities such as quoting and invoicing.
Identify opportunities to improve MineStar technology implementations across customer sites.
