About The Position

Responsible for activities involving room service delivery and pickup. The attendant responds to guest needs and requests, takes or receives orders, prepares trays, delivers orders to guest rooms, and picks up trays. The position involves working inside and outside the hotel, with exposure to weather, hazardous chemicals, food, and beverages.

Responsibilities

• Maintain working knowledge of all menu items and prices.
• Complete assigned side work.
• Respond to guests’ needs and requests.
• Answer phones and take orders, or receive orders from the hotel operator.
• Set up trays with the proper condiments and utensils.
• Deliver orders to guest rooms.
• Pick up trays from guest rooms.
• Attend required meetings.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Be courteous to customers and fellow employees.
• Report unsafe conditions to a supervisor immediately.
• Maintain hotel equipment in proper working condition.
• Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
