About The Position

Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is hiring multiple Miner 4 - Offsider positions to join their expanding McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at the McIlvenna Bay site in Northern Saskatchewan, with either a 7/7 or 14/14 rotation. Miner 4 positions are exclusively for residents of Saskatchewan or those living a short distance from the mine site. Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran is developing the McIlvenna Bay project, a significant copper development project in Canada, with commercial production anticipated in mid-2026. This project contains copper, zinc, gold, and silver, essential metals for the global transition to green energy. The Miner 4 role, as part of the Underground Team, provides crucial support to mining activities, including equipment operation, material transport, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 6 months experience working in an underground mine environment.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in underground mining.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to work in confined spaces and challenging underground conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be legally able to work in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Specialized training in underground equipment operation and underground mining safety is preferred.
  • Experience working as an offsider or experience around jumbo drills is considered an asset.
  • Experience operating underground trucks and haulage equipment is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate underground haul truck.
  • Transport tools and materials to work sites for development activities.
  • Assist in installing ground support systems and drilling operations.
  • Assisting the mining crew with extending and repairing services.
  • Set up and prepare mining equipment for excavation and drilling.
  • Conduct pre-shift equipment checks and routine maintenance.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Respond to emergencies by following established procedures.
  • Maintain a clean work area by removing debris and waste.
  • Ensure broken material does not pose risks and facilitate its removal.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities and equipment maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Maintain safety bays and MineArc / Refuge Stations (PC).
  • Maintain Haulage ways and Lunchrooms (PC).
