About The Position

We are seeking 2 Mine Technicians to support the Mine Design team. In this junior role, you will start with foundational field tasks and gradually take on more technical duties as you progress with on-the-job training. Your initial core responsibilities include: Reporting to the Principal Engineer Underground Mining, your initial core responsibilities include: Underground Surveying: Mine surveyor with underground measurements, installing survey stations, and setting tunneling direction all while maintaining high standards for all survey equipment. Data Collection & Plotting: Gathering field data and learning to update mine plans, sections, and digital records using industry-standard software. Ventilation Surveys: Conducting regular ventilation audits and airflow measurements to ensure a safe working environment for the entire underground crew. Development Layouts: Assisting in the development of digital designs for our short-term and long-term mining plans. Operational Support: Providing technical data and support to mine planners, geologists, and operations teams to keep the mine running efficiently. Cycle time observations: Observe and conduct time studies of underground equipment and mining cycles to provide more robust data to use in scheduling.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Comfortable with high school level math, including basic algebra and geometry and able to preform accurate measurements and calculations, additional training will be provided
Valid driver’s license
Motivated and hands‑on, with an interest in learning practical technical skills
Comfortable working underground and committed to following safety procedures
Detail‑oriented and able to accurately collect measurements and field information

Nice To Haves

Underground operations and maintenance experience
Experience in shaft operations & repair
Experience in hoist systems maintenance
Crane operator experience
MSHA underground mine rescue qualification

Responsibilities
