About The Position

Permanent, Full Time positions are available for licensed 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwrights in a Pork processing facility. This position requires the ability to work night or afternoon shifts and involves maintaining all mechanical equipment, performing preventative and corrective maintenance, and troubleshooting various industrial systems. The role demands a strong understanding of safety regulations, GMP rules, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

• Must have a 433A license.
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to stand for extended hours.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to work under special conditions such as extreme heat or cold.
• Minimum of 18 years old.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Ability to communicate and understand English.
• Must have own tools.
• Must have experience as a Millwright.

Nice To Haves

• Proficient TIG welder.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety regulations to provide a safe working environment.
• Maintain all mechanical equipment in the plant.
• Perform PMs, PDMs, CM, and regular work orders on equipment.
• Multitask and prioritize workload.
• Repair and work on conveyors, industrial equipment, pumps, grinders, welding equipment, lathes, power tools, fans, blowers, hydraulic systems, packaging equipment, and pneumatic equipment.
• Act as a proficient TIG welder.
• Perform repairs and troubleshooting.
• Work in a team environment.
• Utilize full knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Install equipment.
• Follow GMP rules and GMP for Maintenance rules.
• Carry out oral or printed work requests and apply corrective actions.
• Account for inventory and labor on a computerized maintenance program.
