About The Position

The Millwright’s primary function is to repair and maintain equipment within the mill. The position works with maintenance, production, and management personnel to help achieve organizational goals. The schedule is undetermined and flexible as needed. The starting wage is $39.32 per hour ($81,785 per year before shift differentials, overtime, and production bonuses). Employees may earn monthly production bonuses based on the plant site's target goals.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in a journey-level industrial millwright position.
• Hold and maintain current Hampton PIT authorization.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to weld and cut; troubleshoot equipment and systems; maintain working components; operate machinery; and understand pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Proficient use of tools related to the trade.
• Good communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• State classification as a Journeyman Millwright, or current enrollment in the Apprentice Program.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install, repair, and troubleshoot all systems, equipment, and facilities.
• Work with work-order systems, machine histories, scheduling, warehousing, and related maintenance fields.
• Operate facility equipment as needed for troubleshooting and testing.
• Assist production personnel in maintaining the flow of product.
• Follow company lockout, safety, and work standards.
• Attend training as necessary to upgrade performance.
• Operate machinery safely to prevent injury to the operator or other employees in the area.
• Work overtime as necessary.
