This position involves working with industry-specific and highly complex precision machines such as ball mills, ID fans, lube coil skids, turbines, conveyors, generators, hydraulic systems, pumps, gears, bearings, and compressors. The role requires planning, inspecting, verifying, and documenting the scope of work. Responsibilities include using precision leveling and alignment tools, fitting bearings, aligning gears and wheels, attaching motors, connecting belts, and dismantling machines. The Millwright will also assemble and install equipment like shafting, conveyors, and tram rails, and may construct foundations for machinery. Fabrication and installation of parts, equipment, and machinery through measuring, cutting, drilling, and welding are key duties. The role also involves turning machine parts to dimensional specifications, unloading, inspecting, moving, and positioning equipment using cranes, hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks, and utilizing rigging and hoisting devices. Conducting preventative maintenance, such as lubrication and repairing worn parts, is also a core function. The position requires following supervisor direction and performing other assigned duties.
