About The Position
McCorvey Sheet Metal is a family-owned and operated company seeking a highly qualified, skilled Sheet Metal Fabricating Machinery Service & Repair Technician! Immediate availability and room for growth. McCorvey Sheet Metal works primarily on larger projects such as hospitals, research labs, sports stadiums, schools, and many other vertical markets. As a Machinery Service & Repair Technician, you will use your skills to support the Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining Sheet Metal Fabricating equipment with hydraulic and pneumatic systems throughout the building.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Hydraulics
- Minor skills in Electronics
- Knowledge of shop equipment
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- High School diploma or GED
Responsibilities
- Complete preventative maintenance routines
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment which includes Coil line, Iowa Precision Pro-Fabriduct Coil line, press brakes, laser cutter table, plasma, seam welders, spiral pipe machines, ovalizer, overhead cranes, fabricating duct machine and conveyor belt systems
- Move up to 49lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 8+ hours
- Recognize and correct potential equipment failure or unsafe conditions
